உலு

ulu   n. உளு-. Chaff of inferiorgrains; தினைமுதலியவற்றின் பதர் (J.)  

uluppai   s. (Hind.), presents of articles of food, fruits etc. furnished gratis to a great personage on a journey; supplies gratuitously given to officials on tour by people or subordinates; 2. supplies to a dependent.

உலுப்பைக்கட்ட, to send a present to a great person.

உலுப்பை கொடுக்க, to send a supply to an inferior.
