கல்லு

kallu-vai-   v.intr. id.+. (யாழ். அக.) 1. To obstruct and preventfruition; காரியம் பலிக்காமற் பண்ணுதல். 2. Tobe at enmity with a person; செற்றங் கொள்ளுதல்.

kallu   கல், vulg. கெல்லு, III v. t. dig out little by little, கிண்டு; 2. eat and spread like a cancer, அரி; 3. wash out, erode, as flowing water.

மலைகெல்லி எலிபிடிக்கிறான், he excavates a mountain to catch a rat; (an expression used when a man accomplishes an easy object after arduous labour.)

கல்லல், v. n. digging, sounding of alaram, tumult, disturbance.
