சந்திராஷ்டமம்

cantirāṣṭamam   n. candrāṣṭama. (Astrol.) Conjunction of themoon with the constellations at the eighthhouse from the caṉma-rāci, considered inauspicious; சன்மராசியிலிருந்து எட்டாமிடத்துள்ள நட்சத்திரங்களோடு சந்திரன் கூடியிருக்கும் நிலை சற்குணமடைந்துளோ ருத்தமரை முனிவதே சந்திராஷ்டமமாகுமாம் (திருவேங். சத. 39).
