சனம்

s. People, mankind, persons, community, folks, men, மக்கட்சாதி. W. p. 339. JANA. 2. Relations, one's own peo ple, இனம். (c.) 3. Multitude, drove, flock, draft of fish, மீன்முதலியவற்றின்கூட்டம். (பார.)

இனத்தார்சனத்தார், appel. n. Near and remote relations; also இளஞ்சனம்.

சனக்கட்டு, s. Numerousness of rela tions, a large family circle.

சனசதளம், s. A crowd of people. See சதளம்.

சனக்கூட்டம்--சனத்திரள்--சனசமூகம், s. An assembly of people, a crowd.

சனஞ்சாதி, s. One's own family and caste.

சனசந்தடி, s. A thick crowd, a dense throng. See சந்தடி.

சனஸ்தானம், s. An inhabited place as distinguished from wild tracts, சன மிருக்குமிடம். (p.)

சனத்தோடேசனம், s. Associating with one's own people.

சனத்துரோகி, s. A misanthrope, a ma licious person. See துரோகி.

சனநெருக்கம்--சனநெருக்கு, s. A crowd or pressure of people.

சனபதம், s. Mankind, சனம், (பார.) 2. An inhabited region, நாடு. W. p. 339. JANAPADA.

சனப்போக்குவரத்து, s. The frequent going and coming of people.

சனமுள்ளவன், s. A man with many relations.

சனவரத்து, s. An influx of people; [ex வரத்து.]

சனஞ்சேர்க்க, inf. To levy an army, to collect forces. 2. To collect helpers, partisans, &c. 3. To collect consti tuents, to get voters.

சனோபகாரம், s. Philanthrophy.

வெகுசனம், s. Many people, a large household. வெகுசனவாக்கியங்கர்த்தவ்வியம். What many people approve is to be done. யதார்த்தவாதிவெகுசனவிரோதி. One who speaks the truth (at all times) will make many enemies.
