சறுக்கு

கிறேன், சறுக்கினேன், வேன், சறு க்க, v. n. To slip out of the hand; to glide, lapse, slide, slip off, வழுவ. 2. To slip or slide--as in mud, or from a tree, வழுக்க. 3. (fig.) To slip out of hand--as an affair, நழுவ. 4. v. a. To skin, graze--as a stone thrown, தத்த. உத்தியோகஞ்சறுக்கிப்போயிற்று. I missed the office, employment, &c. சேற்றிற் கால் சறுக்கிவிழுந்தான். He slipped in the mud and fell.

சறுக்குமரம், s. [loc.] A slippery post for climbing in games, or for rewards.

சறுக்கல், v. noun. Slipperiness, slip ping, &c., வழுக்கல்.

cṟukku   v. noun. [loc.] Slipping, sliding, a false step, வழுக்குகை. 2. An inclined plane set before the front wheels of a car, to turn it in the right direction, சறுக்குக்கட் டை. 3. [prov.] A block or roller put under a log, or other heavy things, to facilitate its being moved, நெம்புதடி. 4. A subterfuge, a pretext, போக்கு. 5. A fall in circum stances, a failure, நழுவுகை; [ex சறுக்கு, v.]
