தவண்

tavaṇ   n. perh. தவு-. Circle drawnwith lime, or string tied around a limb, abovethe site of a poisonous bite with incantations tostop the spread of the poison; கடித்த இடத்திலேயே விஷம் தங்குமாறு இடும் சுண்ணாம்புவட்டம்அல்லது கயிற்றுக்கட்டு. (J.)
