பிணம்

s. Corpse, carcass, சவம். (c.) 2. (சது.) Evil spirit, a devil, vampire, பிசாசம்.

பிணக்காடு, s. Place of cremation, சுடு காடு. 2. The place of battle where many have been slain, யுத்தகளம்.

பிணஞ்சுட, inf. To burn a corpse.

பிணத்தூக்கம், s. Deep sleep.

பிணநாற்றம், s. Bad smell of a corpse.

பிணநெய், s. Fat extracted from corpses and used in magic.

பிணந்தின்னி, appel. n. One who feeds on corpses.

பிணந்தின்னிப்பிச்சி--பிணந்தின்னிப் பேய், s. A puny devil living on corpses.

பிணப்பறை, s. A funeral drum, as சாப்பறை.

பிணமெடுக்க, inf. To take up a corpse for burning or burying.

பிணம்போலேகிடக்க, inf. To be motion less, as a corpse when asleep or feign ing sleep. 2. To be indifferent to harsh treatment.

பிணம்வீழ்களம், s. A burning or bury ing place, for the dead, மயானம். 2. As பிணக்காடு, 2.

பிணவறையன், s. [prov.] A dull, heavy, lazy person, பருத்தவன். [in displeasure.]

பிணவெடில், s. [prov.] As பிணநாற்றம்.
