பிணி

s. Disease, malady, distemper, sickness, நோய். (c.) 2. Suffering, affliction, துன்பம். 3. A fastening, binding, link, tie, கட்டு. 4. [prov.] Higher or lower row of threads in a weavers loom, as raised or lowered to admit the shuttle, நூற்படை.

பிணி, 3. The three kinds of tempera ment; 1. வாதம், flatulency, inducing me lancholy; 2.பித்தம். bile, bilious dis tempers; 3. சிலேட்டுமம், phlegm, a phleg matic temper. (சது.) See சரீரக்கூறு.

பிணிக்குறை, s. Attack of an evil spirit on a child, causing disease, பேயி னால்வருந்தோஷம்.

பிணிதெறித்தல், v. noun. The disease being remedied. See தெறி, v.

பிணிப்பேய், s. [prov.] A devil which attacks children.

பிணிமிதிக்க, inf. To tread the loom, as a weaver, நூற்படைமிதிக்க.

பிணியன், s. As பிணியாளன். (நன்.)

பிணியாளன்--பிணியாளி, s. A sickly, or diseased man.

பிணியுழற்றல், v. noun. Suffering from disease. (p.)

பிணியோலை, s. An ola amulet tied on a child to prevent demoniacal influence. See ஓலை.

க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To tie, to fasten with ropes, to fetter, to link, கட்ட. (c.)

பிணிப்பு, v. noun. Binding, linking; a bandage, கட்டுகை.
