புருஷன்

--புருடன், s. Husband. கணவன். 2. A man, ஆண்மகன். 3. Soul, life, the living principle, சீவன். 4. One of the powers of the soul, ஆத்துமதத்துவத்தொன்று. 5. Spirit, pure intellect as operative in the universe, distinguished from inert matter, ஆன்மா. 6. (R.) God, an epithet of Vishnu. 7. One of the ten nerves. See தசநாடி.

பரமபுருஷன், s. God. 2. [in Hindu phi los.] The primeval male.

புருஷகாரம், s. Endeavor, exertion, effort, முயற்சி.

புருஷத்துவம், s. Manhood; nature or property of a man, ஆண்தன்மை. 2. Valor, prowess, தைரியம்.

புருஷநாள், s. The twenty-seventh lu nar asterism, இரேவதி.

புருஷபரிசம்--புருஷஸ்பரிசம், s. Sex ual connexion of a woman with a man.

புருஷப்பிரமாணம், s. A measure of four cubits, as புருஷம்.

புருஷமேதம், s. Human sacrifice by burning.

புருஷராகம், s. A topaz, புட்பராகம்.

புருஷரூபம், s. The male form, ஆணு ருவம்.

புருஷலட்சணம், s. The requisite pro perties to form a symmetrical man.

புருஷாயு--புருஷாயுசு, s. Limit of human existence, மனிதராயுள்.

புருஷார்த்தம், s. Objects suitable for a man; 1. அறம், beneficence; 2. பொருள், worldly substance; 3. இன்பம்; happiness; 4. வீடு, future bliss.

புருஷோத்தமன், s. An excellent man; [ex உத்தமன்.] 2. Vishnu, as having a beautiful form, விஷ்ணு. 3. A titular name of the Gajapati kings.
