புலன்

புலன், 5. The five senses are: சுவை, or ரசம், taste; 2. ஒளி or ரூபம், seeing; 3. ஊறு or பரிசம், feeling, touching; 4. ஓசை or சத்தம், sound, for hearing; 5. நாற்றம், or கந்தம், smell.

புலனொடுக்க--புலனடக்க, inf. [v. noun. புலனொடுக்கம்.] To suppress or mortify the senses. See ஒடுக்கம்.

புலன்செலுத்த, inf. To attend to care fully.

புலன்வென்றோர், appel. n. Munis, Rishis, who have subjected their passions, முனிவர். (p.)
