மகடூஉ

makaṭūu   n. மகள். 1. Female;woman; பெண். மகடூஉ வறிசொல் (தொல். சொல்.2). 2. Wife; மனைவி. இற்பொலி மகடூஉப் போல(புறநா. 331).

makaṭūu   s. a woman, a female, see ஆடூஉ. மகடூஉக்குணம், the four prevalent feminine qualities, viz. அச்சம், timidity, fear; 2. நாணம், coyness, bashfulness; 3. மடம், simplicity, want of clear perception and 4. பயிர்ப்பு, shrinking from what is mean, modesty.
