மார்க்கண்டன்

mārkkaṇṭaṉ   n. Mār-kaṇḍa. A sage blessed with the boon ofeternal youth of sixteen years; என்றும் பதினாறுபிராயமாக இருக்க வரம்பெற்ற ஒரு முனிவன். மார்க்கண்டன் முற்றோன்றினன் (கந்தபு. மார்க்கண். 252).

mārkkaṇṭaṉ   மார்க்கண்டேயர், s. a sage, the supposed author of the Purana called Markandeya.
