முகுர்த்தம்

--முகூர்த்தம், s. A divi sion of time, forty-eight minutes or the thirtieth part of a day and night, ஓர்கால வரையறை. W. p. 667. MUHOORTTA. 2. [com. முழுத்தம்.] An auspicious hour, &c., astrologically fixed for a wedding, laying the foundation of a building, &c., சுபவேளை. முகூர்த்தத்திலேதிருமங்கிலியந்தரிக்கவேணும். The wedding badge must be tied at the auspi cious time astrologically fixed. முகூர்த்தந்தப்பிப்போயிற்றா. Is the auspicious time passed?

முகூர்த்தக்கால், s. The first pole of a nuptial booth set at a propitious hour. See கலியாணக்கால்நாட்டுதல் under நாட்டு, &c.

முகூர்த்தநாடி--முகூர்த்தநேரம்--முகுர்த் தவேளை, s. An auspicious hour.

முகூர்த்தமிடுதல்--முகுர்த்தம்வைத்தல், v. noun. Fixing an auspicious hour for marriage.

முகூர்த்தவிசேஷம், s. The good effect of a propitious time.
