முட்டாள்

muṭṭāḷ   n. cf. முட்டன். [M.muṭṭāḷ.] Dunce, simpleton, stupid fellow;மூடன். முட்டாளரக்கர் (திருப்பு. 141).

muṭṭāḷ   n. perh. முட்டு- + ஆள்.[K. muṭṭāḷa.] 1. Image placed underneath avehicle as if in support; வாகனத்தினடியில்அதைத் தாங்குவதுபோல் வைக்கும் பிரதிமை. 2.Mason's assistant, boy or girl cooly; கொத்துவேலைச் சிற்றாள். செங்கலுக்கு நீறெடுத்து முட்டாளாய்நிற்பாரும் (பணவிடு. 285).

muṭṭāḷ  

s. A dunce, a simpleton. முட்டாளுக்குக் கோபமூக்கிலே. A dunce has anger in his nose. முட்டாள்பெட்டிமகன். A very ignorant man, [lit.] son of a silly woman; used by brahmans.

முட்டாள்வேலை, s. The work of a blunderer.
