adj. Old, ancient, original; [ex முதுமை.]

முதாரி--முதாரு--முதாருகன்று, s. A calf almost weaned.

முதாருபால், s. Milk of a cow almost dry. (c.)

முதியகொல்லை, s. A garden long under cultivation.

முதியர்--முதியோர், s. [pl.] Elders, old persons, மூத்தோர். 2. Superiors, பெரி யோர். 3. Those well instructed or edu cated, கற்றோர்.

முதியன், s. An elder, a senior.

முதியான், s. A grown up youth, a young man, adolescens, வாலிபன்; opposed to பொ டித்தான்.

முதுகன்று, s. A weaned calf.

முதுகாடு, s. An ancient forest, பிறங் கியல். 2. As சுடுகாடு. (p.)

முதுகாஞ்சி, s. A treatise in which in struction, and admonition, are given by learned men, ஓர்பிரபந்தம்.

முதுகாட்டுத்தரிசு, s. Lands left waste upwards of fifteen years. (Govt. usage.)

முதுகால்வெற்றிலை, s. Betel leaves of the last season.--opp. to இளங்கால்வெற்றிலை.

முதுகுன்று, s. A primitive mountain, as விருத்தாசலம். (p.)

முதுக்குறைவு, s. Great knowledge, பேரறிவு. (சது.) 2. Knowledge of spiritual things, திவ்வியஞானம். 3. Puberty [of a female], பெண்புத்தியறிகை. (p.)

முதுசார்வு, s. [prov.] Palmyra or Talipot leaves of the second remove from the last tender shoot. See இளஞ்சார்வு.

முதுசொம், s. See சொம்.

முதுசொல், s. An old word or saying.

முதுதவம், s. [also முதியதவம்.] Penance of old time.

முதுநிலம், s. Brackish ground, களர். 2. A large extent of barren ground, பெரும்பாழ்நிலம்.

முதுபயிர், s. Ripe grain. See பயிர். 2. A grown tree ready to bear.

முதுமகன், s. An epithet of the planet Saturn, சனி, elder son of Sûrya.

முதுமொழி, s. An ancient saying.

முதுவர், s. [pl.] Poets, புலவர். 2. Prime ministers of a state, councillors, மந்திரியர். 3. Persons of erudition, ac quainted with ancient learning, மூதுணர்ந் தோர். 4. Elders, old persons, honorable men, மூத்தோர்.
