முனி

s. A holy sage, supposed to be more or less divine through rigid abstrac tion and mortification; a term applied to the Rishis, Brahmadicas and others, ஞானி. 2. An ascetic, தவத்தோன். 3. A Jaina deifi ed teacher, as Argha, குரு. 4. A tree, அகத்தி, Coronilla. W. p. 666. MUNI. 5. Buddha, புத்தன். 6. The young elephant, யானைக்கன்று. 7. A bow, வில். (சது.)

அகஸ்தியமுனி, s. The sage Agastya.

சடாமுனி, s. See சடை.

முனிச்சிரேஷ்டன்-முனிபுங்கவன்-முனீ சுரன்-முனீந்திரன், s. The principal or chief of the Munis, a superior Muni. 2. As Buddha.

முனிமூத்திரம், s. Salt in lumps, com posed of இலேந்து, இலேவுந்து, கூர்மை, சவர்ச் சலம், சாருசம் and சாரோதகம், கல்லுப்பு.

கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், ய, v. n. To be angry, displeased, morose, petulant. cynical, கோபிக்க. 2. v. a. To dislike, வெ றுக்க; [prob, from Sa. Manyu, anger.] மோகத்தைமுனி. Abhor sensuality. (Avu.)
