மெட்டு

meṭṭu   n. 1. [T. meṭṭa, K. meṭṭu.]Mound; மேடு. (திவா.) 2. Section of earth leftin the centre of an excavation as a measureof its depth; வெட்டும் பள்ளத்தின் நடுவில் வெட்டளவின் உயரத்தைக் காட்டவிடும் மண்திட்டு. Loc.3. Bridge of a fiddle; பிடிலில் வைக்கும் மிதப்புக்கட்டை. 4. Wood or jungle which surrounds avillage; ஊர்சூழ்காடு. (W.)
