நாலுவருணம், s. The four principal castes. See சாதி.

வருணம், 5. The five principal colors; 1. வெண்மை, whiteness; 2. கருமை, black ness; 3. செம்மை, redness; 4. பொன்மை, yellowness; 5. பசுமை, greenness. (சது.)

வருணப்பாய், s. [also வண்ணப்பாய்.] A variegated grass-mat.

வருணமண்டலம், s. Region of Varuna, god of the waters, in the upper-world.
