வட்டு

s. A small spheroidal pawn or draught, சூதாடுகருவி. 2. Any thing round --as a ball, a bush, the tuft of a palm tree, or the place where the ribs of an umbrella meet, திரட்சி. (சது.) 3. A kind of play, ஓர்விளையாட்டு. 4. A low, thorny shrub. of the brinjal genus, ஓர்செடி.

வட்டாட, inf. To play at draughts.

வட்டுக்கருப்புக்கட்டி, s. [com. வட்டுக் கருப்பட்டி.] A ball of jaggery.

வட்டுக்காய், s. Dice, சூதாடுகருவி. 2. A வட்டு fruit.

வட்டுக்குத்தி, s. The part just below the top of a fresh palm-leaf, மரக்குருத்தினடி.

வட்டுவேர், s. The root of the வட்டு shrub, used as a medicine for infants.
