வெறு

adj. [in combin.] Empty void, poor.

வெறுங்கடுதாசி, s. A blank paper.

வெறுங்கால், s. A bare foot.

வெறுங்குடம், s. An empty pot--as an ill-omen, &c. See குடம்.

வெறுங்கை, s. Empty handed, பொரு ளின்மை.

வெறுங்கோது, s. Refuse. 2. [prov.] One of no ability, மூடன்.

வெருஞ்சோறு, s. Boiled rice without curry, &c.

வெறுநுகம், s. The fifteenth lunar mansion, சோதிநாள். (சது.)

வெறுந்தண்ணீர், s. Water only.

வெறுந்தப்பறை, s. A complete error.

வெறுந்தலை, s. [appel. வெறுந்தலையர்.] A bare head as an inauspicious sight, requiring a சாந்தி to remove its effects.

வெறுமனை, s. Unoccupied building ground. 2. An empty house.

வெறுமனே, s. In vain, without advan tage; chiefly used by Brahmans.

வெறும்பானை, s. An empty pot, or vessel. வெறம்பானையிலீப்புகுந்ததுபோல. Like a fly in an empty vessel

வெறும்பிலுக்கு, s. Foppery without means to support it. வெறும்பிலுக்குவண்ணான்மாற்று.....Dressing in garments borrowed from a washer man is but vain foppery.

வெறும்பிழை, s. A complete error.

வெறும்பொய், s. A down-right-lie.

வெறும்புறங்கூறல், v. noun. Public invective.

வெறுவாய்கூற, inf. To babble.

க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To dislike, renounce, be disgusted with, have aversion to, பிரியவீனப்பட. 2. To hate, detest, பகைக்க. 3. To deny, மறுக்க. (c.) எனக்குமவனுக்கும்வெறுத்திருக்கிறது. There is aversion between him and me. உலகத்தைவெறுத்துப்போட்டேன். I renounced the world. எனக்குவெறுக்கிறது. It turns my stomach. எனக்குமனம்வெறுத்துப்போயிற்று. I am quite disgusted with it.

வெறுக்கச்சாப்பட, inf. To eat to satiety.

வெறுப்பு, v. noun. Disgust, dislike, aversion, discontent, வேண்டாமை.--oppos. to விருப்பு. 2. Affliction, துன்பம். 3. Fear, அச்சம். 4. Confusion, கலக்கம். 4. Wrath, கோபம். 5. Closeness, செறிவு. (சது.) என்பேரிலேவெறுப்புஞ்சலிப்புமாயிருக்கின்றான்..... He has a dislike and aversion to me.

வெறுப்பின்மை, s. Absence of dislike. See அறத்துறுப்பு.

வெறுப்புக்காட்ட, inf. To show aver sion, disaffection.
