குங்குமம்

s. A species of fragrant tree, மரவம், Crocus sativus, L. Wils. p. 225. KUNKUMA. 2. A kind of red paint, செஞ்சா ந்து. 3. European saffron used in medicine, &c., குங்குமப்பூ. 4. Saffron or yellow colour; red colour; குங்குமநிறம். குங்குமஞ்சுமந்தகழுதைபோல். Like the ass that carries red paint, getting no benefit form it.

குங்குமப்பூ, s. European saffron, ஓர் மருந்து. 2. The flower of the குங்குமம் tree, குங்குமமரத்தின்பூ.

குங்குமக்காவி, s. Saffron-ochre, செ ங்காவி.

குங்குமப்பொட்டு, s. A spot of red paint on the forehead.

குங்குமவர்ணம், s. Saffron-color.

குங்குமவாடை, s. Saffron-odor.

குங்குமச்சம்பா, s. A yellow kind of rice, ஓர்நெல்.

குங்குமபாஷாணம், s. A kind of pre pared arsenic, அஞ்சற்குளச்சி.

குங்குமவலரி, s. A kind of rose colored oleander.

குங்குமவர்ணி, s. Saffron-stone, மஞ்ச ட்கல். (M. Dic.) 2. Yellow sulphuret of arsenic, அரிதாரம்.
