பன்னாடை

paṉṉāṭai   n. பன்னு- + ஆடை.[K. pannāḍe, M. pannāṭa.] 1. Fibrous cloth-like web about the bottom of the leaf-stalk ofa palmyra or cocoanut tree; தெங்கு பனைஇவற்றின் மட்டைகளை மரத்தோடு பிணைத்துநிற்கும்வலைத்தகடுபோன்ற பண்டம். Colloq. 2. Fool, aslosing sight of what is essential and firmlygrasping what is useless; மூடன். Colloq. 3. Acloth of loose texture; இழை நெருக்கமில்லாத்துணிவகை. (W.)
