--போல், கிறேன், போன்றேன், வேன், போல, v. a. To resemble, to be like, to be similar, ஒக்க. 2. To equal, to match, சரியாக. போலினும். Although similar--as போன் றாலும்.

போல, [as an adv. in comparison.] As, like, resembling, equal to, as it were, and so as.

போலும், [rel. part. and neuter future.] It will be like. it will resemble, ஒக்கும் 2. A poetic expletive, இசைநிறை. 3. Like in appearance, தோற்றம். 4. It is likely, it seems probable, it may be so. தாமரைபோலுமுகம். A lotus-like face. முகந்தாமரைபோலும். A face like the lotus. வடுவென்றகண்ணாய்வருந்தினைபோலும். Oh soft eyed maiden! thou hast been trou bled; போலும், is here expletive. தெய்வமேயிகழ்வார்போலும். Even as those who deny God.

போல்வான், appel n. One who resem bles another, an equal.

போன்றவர், appel. n. Equals, ஒத்தவர்.
