மத்தியதேசம், s. That part of India, which is bounded by Kurukshetra on the north, Allahabad on the south, the Hymalaya mountains on the east, and the Vindhia mountains on the west- comprising the modern provinces of Allahabad, Agra, Delhi, Oude, &c. (lit.) the middle country. (Wils.)
