மோனை

mōṉai   s. The beginning, ஆதி. --as முகனை, 2. [in poet.] A resemblance between the first letter of one சீர் or foot, and the first letter of one or more of the succeed ing feet, in the same line. See தொடை.- Note. அ. corresponds with ஆ, ஐ, ஔ; இ, with ஈ, எ, ஏ; உ, with ஊ, ஒ, ஓ; ச with த; ஞ with ந, &c.
