எய்

கிறேன், தேன், வேன், ய v. a. To cast, to throw, to fling, to fling stones, &c.; to discharge arrows, அம்புமுதலியவவெய்ய. எய்தவனிருக்கவம்பைநோவதேன். Why be offended with the arrow seeing that he is present who discharged it? [prov.]

எய்வு, v. noun. Shooting with a bow, எய்கை.

கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. n. To grow weary by exertion, fail in strength--as in battle; to flag through want of food, &c., இளைக்க. 2. To be redu ced in circumstances, grow poor, தரித்திரம டைய. 3. v. a. To know, understand, comprehend, அறிய. (p.) அனிச்சம்படினும்பொறாமையையெய்த்தும். Though he (Siva) knew that the feet of his consort could not endure the failing of the (deli cate) anicah flower-(பிரபுலிங்க.)

எய்ப்பு, v. noun. Weariness, lan guor, &c., இளைப்பு.

எய்ப்பில்வைப்பு, s. That which is laid up for a time of adversity, வறுமையி லுதவதற்குவைக்குந்திரவியம்.
