ஏய்

ēy   கிறது, ந்தது, ஏயும், ஏய, v. n. To combine, to unite, பொருந்த. 2. To be situated, to belong to, சேர. 3. To be fit, to be suitable, இசைய. (p.) ஏயுறுபரிசனம். The attendant retinue, (ஸ்காந்.) இதுஅறுப்புக்குஏய்ந்தகாலம். This is the fit time for reaping. சங்கெய்தடம்பொய்கை. The lake where conchs abound. (வாணன்கோவை.)

க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To resemble, to be like, be similar to, ஒப்பாயிருக்க. (p.) 2. To deceive, cheat, defraud, வஞ்சிக்க. முருந்தேய்க்குமுட்போலெயிற்றினாய். O thou whose teeth are like the points of quills and thorns. நின்முகமேய்க்குமதி. The moon that resem bles your face-

ஏய்ப்ப. The infinitive of ஏய், like, used as a particle of comparison, உவ மைச்சொல். (p.) முத்தேய்ப்பவொளிர்முறுவல். Teeth resplen dent as pearls.

ஏய்ப்பு, v. noun. Deceit, fraud, im position, cheating, வஞ்சகம்.

ஏய்ப்புக்காட்ட, inf. To deceive, defraud, circumvent, to dupe.
