சோமன்

Cloth in general, சீலை. 5. One of the eight demigods, அஷ்டவசுக்களிலொரு வன். 6. Camphor, கர்ப்பூரம். 7. Soap, சவக் காரம். 8. A kind of rank in Ceylon wear three cloths one over another; the வேட்டி; சோமன். and துப்பட்டி.

சோமசுந்தரன், s. Siva, சிவன். 2. A name of one of the Pandyan kings, ஓர் பாண்டியன்.

சோமசேகரன்--சோமநாதன், s. Siva, as worshipped at Somnauth, சிவன்.

சோமமணல், s. Sand containing silver, வெள்ளிமணல். (R.)

சோமமண்டலம், s. The region, orbit or disc of the man.

சோமலிங்கம், s. The இலிங்கம் of Siva, as worshipped by Soma or the moon at சோமாரணியம்.

சோமலிங்கர், s. (Hon.) Siva as wor shipped at சோமாரணியம்.

சோமவாரம், s. Monday. (Colloq.)

சோமனுப்பு, s. Rock-salt, as இந்துப்பு.

சோமன்சாம்பு--சோமன்மடி, s. [loc.] A piece containing several cloths or hand kerchiefs for men. See சாம்பு.

சோமன்சோடு, s. A cloth and shawl, the two forming a common dress; one twelve, the other six cubits. (c.)

சோமாரணியம், s. The forest where the moon made puja to the Siva Linga, ஓர் சிவஸ்தலம்; [ex ஆரணியம்.]

சோமேசுரன், s. Siva as worshipped by the moon, சிவன்; [ex ஈசுரன்.]

பட்டுக்கரைச்சோமன், s. A சோமன் cloth with a silk border. (c.)

பிள்ளைச்சோமன், s. A small cloth for a boy.
