தீண்டு

கிறேன், தீண்டினேன், வேன், தீண் ட, v. a. To touch, feel, come in contact with, தொட. 2. To infect or infuse poison, by contact; to defile, contaminate by touching, தொற்ற. 3. To envenom, as a snake, by biting, விஷந்தீண்ட. 4. To deflour, ravish, கற்பழிக்க. 5. To grasp, take hold of, to appropriate, பற்ற. (c.) சர்ப்பந்தீண்டிஇறந்தான். He was bitten by a serpent and died. இருசுடரை இராகுகேதுதீண்டின. Ráhu and Kéthu seized the two lights of the sun and moon. ஆத்துமா அந்தக்கரணத்தைத் தீண்டிக்கொண்டறி யும். The soul understands by the com prehension of the mental faculties.

கிராணந்தீண்டுதல், v. noun. The occur ring (touching) of an eclipse. (c.)

தீண்டாச்சாதி, s. Low caste that are not to be touched.

தீண்டாநெருப்பு, s. An untouchable fire; i. e. matron of unapproachable chastity, பதிவிரதை.

பிறர்தாரத்தைத்தீண்ட, inf. To defile another's wife.

தீண்டுகை, v. noun. Touching, feeling.
