துத்தி

s. An eatable, any thing proper to be eaten, உண்டற்குரியன; [ex து, v.] 2. The ornamented spots on the neck of the cobra, பாம்பின்படப்பொறி. 3. Yellow, or tawny spreading spots on the skin. (See தேமல்.) 4. A plant, a species of mallow, ஓர்செடி, Indian marshmallow, Sida Mau ritiana. (Ains. v. 1, p. 25.)--Note. There are different kinds, as எலிசசெவித்துத்தி. Evolvus emarginatus; ஐயிதழ்த்துத்தி, of five petals; ஒட்டுத்துத்தி, Urena sinuata; ஓரிலைத்து த்தி, கண்டுதுத்தி, Sida acuminata; காட்டுத்துத்தி. Sida hirta; கொடித்துத்தி, Sida mountana, சிறு துத்தி; செந்துத்தி, Hibiscus abtusifol, Willd; நாமத்துத்தி, Sida cristata; நிலத்துத்தி, Sida cor difolia; பணிகாரத்துத்தி, பெருந்துத்தி. Sida Asi stica; பொட்டகத்துத்தி, Hibiscus Abelmoschus; also இரட்டகத்துத்தி; வயற்துத்தி, and வட்டத்துத்தி.
