s. Command, order, direc tion, ஆணைசெலுத்துகை. 2. Commission, de spatches, discharge, ஏவுகை. 3. Services, duties as directed, enjoined or otherwise; attention to a husband, &c., பணிவிடை. 4. Instigation, excitement, inspiration, தூண் டுகை. 5. The imperative mood, எவல்வினை முற்று. 6. Influence, authority (of com mand), நடத்துகை. 7. Directing a demon upon an enemy by witchcraft, பிசாசையே விவிடுகை. அவனேவற்படி. According to his com mand-

ஏவலாள்--ஏவற்காரன், s. A servant, an attendant.

ஏவலிட, inf. To order.

ஏவல்கேட்க--ஏவல்செய்ய, inf. To do services commanded. 2. To serve, to obey orders, to perform duties, to wait upon (a husband or superior), பணிசெய்ய.

ஏவல்கொள்ள, inf. To employ one in service.

ஏவல்மேவல், s. Services com manded and implied.

ஏவல்வாய்பாடு, s. The prescribed form of imperative mood--as செய்.

ஏவல்வினை, s. The imperative of verbs.

ஏவற்பணி--ஏவற்பணிவிடை, s. Services commanded. In epistolary writings and in conversation, this is often used as a compliment.

ஏவற்பேய், s. A demon instigated and sent against one, ஏவப்பட்டபேய். ஏவற்பேய்கூரையைப்பிடுங்கும். A hired devil will unroof the house; i. e. a hired foe is more to be dreaded than the person that hires him.
