சூழ்

கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், சூழ, v. n. v. a. To encompass, encircle, surround, en viron, envelope, beset; to involve one- as sins, evils, disasters, births, &c., வளைக் க. 2. To go, pass, or flow round about, or adjacent to; to hover about, வட்ட மிட. 3. To attend, accompany, be about a great person, &c., கூட. 4. To deli berate, consider, consult, think, examine, revolve in mind, ஆராய. 5. [prov.] To attack, encounter, assail, assault, மேல்விழ. 6. To design, intend, purpose, compass, கருத.

சூழ--சூழவர--சூழ்ந்திட, inf. (used adverbially.) Around, round about, சுற்ற.

கொலைசூழ, inf. To pursue, prose cute, follow--as the guilt of murderers, பழிசுற்ற. (c.) 2. (p.) To meditate one's ruin, கேடுநினைக்க.

பழிசூழ, inf. To surround--as guilt, revenge, &c

சூழல், v. noun. Surrounding, encom passing, சுற்றுகை. (c.) 2. Examination, ஆராய்கை. 3. Deliberation, counsel, ஆ ராய்வு. 4. Consultation, ஆலோசிக்கை. (p.)

சூழாமை, v. noun. Inconsideration, want of reflection, ஆராயாமை, (p.)

சூழ்பிணிக்காலயம், s. The human body; (lit.) the temple of discases.

சூழ்கழியிருக்கை, v. noun. Being sur rounded by a rivulet. (p.)

சூழ்தல், v. noun. Considering, as சூழல், ஆராய்கை. 2. The rear of an army, பிற்ப டை.

சூழ்போக, inf. To pass round, சுற்றிப் போக. 2. To surround, attack, beset, encounter, சுற்றிவளைக்க. (p.)

சூழ்வு, v. noun. As சூழல், 1, 2, 3.

சூழ்வோர், s. King's counsellors, minis ters, statesmen, மந்திரிகள். 2. Relations, friends, உறவினர். 3. By-standers, spec tators, neighbors, சூழ்ந்துநிற்பவர்.
