தடிப்பு

taṭippu   n. தடி³-. 1. Thickness,as of liquids; inspissation; கடினம் 2. Swelling, as from a blow; protuberance, hypertrophy, callosity, inflammation; வீக்கம் 3.Thickness of a solid substance, as a board;கனம். 4. A disease causing eruptions in thebody, Urticaria; உடற்றழும்பு. கம்பளிப்பூச்சிகடித்ததனால் உடம்பெல்லாம் தடிப்பாயிருக்கிறது. 5.Plumpness, as of a person, of the breast;பூரிப்பு. 6. Pride; கருவம் Loc.

v. noun. Thickness of liquids, inspissation, consolidation, கடினம். 2. Swelling from a blow, a protuberance, வீக்கம். 3. Thickness of a solid substance as a board, &c., கனம். 4. Plumpness of a person, the breast, &c., பூரிப்பு. 5. (R.) A disease spreading over the body in pustules--as எச்சிற்றழும்ப; [ex தடி, v. n.] தோள்தடிப்பாயிருக்கிறது. A callous skin covers the shoulders.

தடிப்பானபுகையிலை, s. Thick tobacco leaf--the best for chewing or smoking.
