நாராசம்

nārācam   n. nārāca. 1. Ironpin, rod, probe; இரும்புச்சலாகை நாராசத்திரிவிற் கொள்ளத்தகுவது காந்தம் (மணி. 27, 55). 2.Iron arrow; இரும்பிற்செய்த அம்பு 3. Iron style;எழுத்தாணி. 4. Narrow straight lane at rightangles to a street; தெருவிலிருந்து குறுக்கேபோகும்ஒடுக்கச் சந்து (W.)  

nārācam   s. an iron pin, rod, wire, சலா கை; 2. an iron arrow, அம்பு; 3. an iron style, எழுத்தாணி; 4. a narrow straight lane at right angles to a street, நேரொழுங்கை.

நாராசமேற்ற, to pass an iron pin through an ola book; 2. to thrust an iron rod into the ear as a punishment.

நாராசமேற்றினாற்போலே காதிலே விழுந் தது, the hearing of it was very painful, as if an iron had been thrust into the ears.
