பந்தல்

pantal   n. 1. [T. pandili, K. pandal,M. pantal.] See பந்தர்¹. பின்னுமாதவிப் பந்தலில்(திவ். பெரியதி. 3, 1, 2). 2. A conduit pipe tocarry water from a higher level to a lower one;நீர்விழுதற்குக் குழாய்வடிவாகச் செய்யப்பட்ட கருவி நீர்வந்துவிழும் மகரவாயாகப் பகுத்த வாயினையுடையபந்தல் (நாடுநல். 96, உரை).  

pantal   பந்தர், s. a booth, a shed, காவ ணம்.

பந்தல்போட, to put up a shed.

பந்தற்கால், a pole supporting a booth.

பந்தற்கால் நாட்ட, to fix the pole of a booth on marriage or festive occasions.

பந்தற்பரப்பு, the covering of a shed.

பந்தற்பாடு, v. n. slantiness as of a roof; 2. a flattish roof.

பந்தற்பூ, a fall of flowers from the இருப்பை tree.
