சேடம்

cēṭam   n. šēṣa. 1. That whichremains; remnant, surplus; மீந்த பொருள் (சூடா.) மேற்கொண்ட சேடமதுவே (தாயு. பரிபூ. 2).2. (Arith.) Remainder; கழித்த மீதி 3. Food,flowers, etc., offered to a deity; பிரசாதம் ஆடகமாடத் தறிதுயி லமர்ந்தோன் சேடங்கொண்டு (சிலப்.26, 62). 4. Food considered polluted whensomething out of it is given to women in theirperiods, low-caste persons, etc.; தீண்டத்தகாதார்க்குக் கொடுத்தலால் அசுத்தமுடையதாகக் கருதப்பட்டஉணவின் மீதி Brāh. 5. Ellipsis; சொற்குறை.(பி. வி ) 6. Slave; devotee; அடிமை அப்பணைந்தவுப்பினுளமணைந்து சேடமாம் (சி. போ பா 11, 5).  

cēṭam   n. khēṭa. Phlegm;சிலேட்டுமம். (W.)  

cēṭam   s. phlegm, சிலேட்டுமம்.

cēṭam   சேஷம், s. the remainder, overplus, balance, மிச்சம்; 2. orts, leavings, எச்சில்.

சேஷப்பட, to become unclean, to be polluted.
