தும்பு

tumpu   n. perh. துன்பு 1. Fault,blemish, defect; குற்றம் தும்பறிப் புத்திசேனசொல்லிது குரவற் கென்ன (சீவக. 666). 2. Uncivil,vulgar or slanderous language; அநாகரிக வார்த்தை வம்பு தும்பு பேசுபவன்.

Small globularpendant suspended from the tāliநாட்டுக்கோட்டைச்செட்டி இவர்கள் பெண்டிர் அணி யும் ஒருவகைத் தாலியுரு 9. [T. dummu.] Dust;தூசி. உள்ளெல்லாம் மிகவும் தும்பாக இருக்கிறது.

சீலை தும்பு தும்பாய்ப் போயிற்று, the cloth is shred into threads.

தும்புக்கயிறு, a rope of cocoa or other fibres.

தும்புசால்வை, a shawl with fringe.

தும்புபோட, to twist rope for tying beasts.

தும்புவாங்கி, to strip off fibre.
