கீள்

(ளு)-தல்   2 v. cf. கீழ்-. [T. cīl.] tr.To rend, split, tear; கிழித்தல் கீண்டிலென் வாயதுகேட்டுநின்றயான் (கம்பரா. பள்ளி 71).--intr. Toburst, as the bund of an overfull tank; உடைதல் தெண்ணீர்ச் சிறுகுளங் கீள்வது மாதோ (புறநா. 118, 3).

கீளுடை, a long strip of cloth which forms the girdle of an ascetic.
