சம்பா

--சம்பாநெல், s. A superior kind of rice, sown commonly in July and afterwards transplanted, of which there are different varieties, ஓர்நெல்.

இலுப்பைப்பூச்சம்பா, s. Rice smel ling like the flower of the olive tree.

ஈர்க்குச்சம்பா, s. A long and slen der rice.

ஊசிச்சம்பா, s. A short, slender rice.

கமுகம்பூச்சம்பா, s. Rice smelling like the areka flower.

குங்குமச்சம்பா, s. A saffron colored rice.

குதிரைவாலிச்சம்பா, s. Rice resem bling a horse tail.

கைவளச்சம்பா, s. Rice of a bright color and pleasant taste.

சன்னச்சம்பா, s. As ஈர்க்குச்சம்பா.

சிறுகுரும்பைச்சம்பா, s. A fine kind of சம்பா.

சீரகச்சம்பா, s. Rice smelling like cumin.

செம்பவளச்சம்பா--செம்பாளைச்சம்பா, s. Rice having the color of red coral.

சொரிகுரும்பைச்சம்பா--குண்டைச்ச ம்பா, s. As குங்குமச்சம்பா.

புழுகுச்சம்பா, s. A fragrant rice.

பொங்கற்சம்பா, s. Another kind.

மிளகுசம்பா, s. Rice resembling pepper.

முத்துச்சம்பா, s. Pearl-like rice.
