சாதகம்

s. Birth, nativity, பிறப்பு. 2. Horoscope, an astrological prediction from the position of the constellations and planets at one's birth. 3. (நிக.) அவனுக்கிதுசாதகமாய்ப்போய்விட்டது. This has become his habit; he has great experience in it.

சாதககாரன்--சாதகன், s. One whose horoscope is calculated. 2. One prac tised in austerities, devotion, &c.

சாதகக்குறிப்பு, s. A memorandum of the time of birth.

சாதகசூசகம், s. The ceremonial im purity of child-birth, பிரசவாசூசம். (p.)

சாதகதிசை, s. A period during which a soul is subjected to births, secular in fluences, &c.,--opposed to முத்தித்திசை; [ex திசை.]

சாதகபலன், s. The result given in a nativity, good or bad, to be experienced in life.

சாதகமெழுத, inf. To cast and write a horoscope, a nativity.

சாதகவித்தை, s. A class of arts, or ex traordinary dexterity acquired by long practice.

சாகதவோலை, s. A written nativity on an ola.

சாதகாசாரியன், s. An assistant guru. 2. One led by divine influence to take the priestly office; an efficient or authorized teacher. (p.)

சாதகாலங்காரம், s. The name of an astrological treatise, சோதிடநூலிலொன்று.

காரியசாதகம், s. Success in an under taking; efficacy, efficiency. 2. A nati vity which has proved true. (p.)
