சோனை

cōṉai   n. சோனம்¹. 1. Dark,moisture-laden clouds; கார்மேகம். சோனைவார்குழலினார் (கம்பரா. நீர்விளை. 14). 2. [K. sōne.]See சோனாமாரி (பிங்.) மேகஞ்சோனைபட (கம்பரா.குகப். 20). 3. Pouring rain, rain falling intorrents; விடாமழைப்பாட்டம். (அக. நி ) 4. [T.sōna, K. sōne.] Constant drizzle from cloudsgathering on hill-tops; மழைச்சாரல்.
