தண்டல்

taṇṭal   n. தண்டு-. 1. Collecting, as tax; வசூலிக்கை. 2. Collection, amountcollected; வசூலிக்கும் பொருள் 3. Tax-collector தீர்வை வசூல் செய்வோன் 4. Failure, omission;தவறுகை. (பிங்.) தண்டலிறவஞ் செய்வோர் (கம்பரா.மாரீசன். 162). 5. Obstruction, hindrance; தடை தண்டலில்லா துடன்கூட்டல் (கூர்மபு. சூதகா. 33).6. Resisting, opposing; எதிர்க்கை தண்டலைநாகந்தவிர் (மருதூரந். 60).  

taṇṭal   n. daṇḍa. Punishment; தண்டனை யான்செய் தண்டலே தகவிலாமை(திருவாத. பு மண்சுமந்த. 13).
