நீ

nī   . A letter compounded of ந் and ஈ.

nī   pron. [pl. நீர், நீயிர், நீவிர்.] Thou. Gen. உன், உனது, உன்னுடைய, p. நின், நினது, &c. Dat. உனக்கு. p. நினக்கு, நிற்கு, Ac. உன்னை. p. நின்னை. Local ablative, உன்னில், &c.

க்கிறேன், த்தேன், ப்பேன், க்க, v. a. To leave, forsake, relinguish, abandon, விட. 2. To deny the senses; to live morally and according to prescribed rules, ஐம்புலன டக்க. 3. To renounce the world--as an ascetic, உலகத்தைத்துறக்க. 4. To put away, to reject, to discard, தள்ள. 5. v. n. To be have well, ஒழுங்காய்நடக்க. (p.)

நீத்தவன், appel. n. Argha of the Jainas, அருகன். (சது.) 2. An ascetic, one who is above worldly pleasures, துறந்தோன்.

நீத்தார்--நீத்தோர், appel. n. [pl.] Asce tics, the holy, துறவோர்.

நீத்தல், v. noun. Good behavior, &c., as the verb.
