பணிசெய்மகன்--பணிசெய்பவன், s. A servant to a superior. 2. One who blows the long trumpet at funerals, &c.

பணித்தட்டார், s. [pl.] Goldsmiths.

பணிப்படுத்த, inf. To manufacture, to make an article.

பணிப்பெண், s. A chamber-maid, a lady's maid, ஏவல்செய்பவன்.

பணிமுட்டு, s. Goldsmith's tools; utensils, implements--especially in temples. See தட்டுமுட்டு, திருப்பணிமுட்டு.

பணிச்சக்கரம், s. [in astrol.] A diagram in the form of a snake, for determining the day for sowing a field, ஓர்எந்திரம்.

கிறேன், ந்தேன், வேன், பணிய, v. n. To become, or be, low in rank, or office; to be low, as a house or branch; to be short, as a person, a post, or a tree, தாழ. 2. To bow, to bend, to stoop; to make obeisance or a courtesy, to pros trate one's self in reverence, or worship; to be humble, submissive, வணங்க. 3. To decline, as a bird, &c., இறங்க. (c.) 4. [prov.] To become inferior, to fall in price, or as wages, குறைய. 5. To be reduced in cir cumstances, எளிமையாக. 6. [prov.] To eat, to feed, from the posture in eating. See பூதகலம்பணிதல். எல்லார்க்கும்நன்றாம்பணிதல்......A humble walk is good for all. பூதம்பணிகிறதுபோலப்பணிகிறான். He gobbles up his food like an elf.

தலைபணிதல், v. noun. Bowing, hanging the head. See தலைவணங்க, தலைமடங்க. நாலுபெயருக்குந்தலைபணியநடத்தல். Behav ing so as to command reverence.

பணித்திறக்க, inf. To take down, as a load, கீழேயிறக்கிவைக்க.

பணித்துக்கட்ட, inf. To build low- as a wall, or a house; to tie or fasten low. 2. To put on a dress so as to have it hang low.

பணிந்தகூரை, s. A low-eaved roof.

பணிந்தவன், appel. n. A shortish person.

பணிந்தவார்த்தை, s. Submissive words; modest or reverential language.

பணிந்துகேட்டல், v. noun. Asking humbly.

பணிந்துநடக்க, inf. To walk hum bly, behave submissively. 2. To set servilely.

பணிந்துபோகுதல், v. noun. Becoming short or low, &c.

பணிமொழி, s. Humble, reverential or submissive language, தாழ்ந்தசொல். (p.)

பணிய, inf. [adverbially.] Low down, lower, below. 2. On the floor or ground 3. Less in number, rank or degree.

பணியவைக்க, inf. To set on the ground, put down. 2. To put or place lower.

பணியல், v. noun. Worship; worship ping.
