தோஷம்

tōṣam   n. dōṣa. 1. Fault;குற்றம். 2. Sin, offence, transgression, heinouscrime, guilt; பாவம் நானொருசொல் கொள்ளாததோஷமன்றோ (தாயு. பராபர. 308). 3. Defect,blemish, deficiency, lack; குறை கிடைக்காததோஷம் கொடுக்கமுடியவில்லை. 4. Disorder ofthe humours of the body, defect in the functionsof the bile, phlegm, or wind; நாடிக்கொதிப்பு. 5.Convulsion, often fatal and always dangerous;சன்னி. 6. See தோஷக்காய்ச்சல் 7. தோஷம்பிறந்தது, the signs that forbode death have appeared.

தோஷக்காய்ச்சல், a malignant fever.

தோஷங்கொள்ள, to be in a torpid state.

தோஷத்திரியம், vitiation of the 3 humours of the body; 2. any combination of three defects.

தோஷபரிகாரம், remedying a fault.

கிருஷ்ணதோஷம், typhus fever.

சலதோஷம், cold.

பக்ஷிதோஷம், (பட்சிதோஷம்), an emaciating disease, of children.

முத்தோஷம், the three houmours of the body, wind, bile and phlegm, வாத, பித்த, சிலேட்டுமம்; 2. the three defects in composition, மிகைபடக்கூறல், குன்றக்கூறல் & மாறுகொள்ளக்கூறல், (redundancy, saying too little & inconsistency).
