சுட்டி

cuṭṭi   n. perh. cūḍīya. 1. [K. M.cuṭṭi.] A small ornament worn by womenand children on the forehead; குழந்தைகளும் மகளிரும் அணிந்துகொள்ளும் நெற்றியணி சுட்டி சிதையக் குட்டத்துக் குளித்து (பெருங். உஞ்சைக். 40, 102). 2. White curl on the foreheadof bull or cow; மாட்டின் நெற்றியிலுள்ள வெண்சுழி.சுட்டியை நெற்றியிலேயுடைய கரிய எருது (கலித்.101, 21, உரை). 3. White spot on the head of abeast or serpent; பாம்பு முதலிய செந்துக்களின்உச்சிவெள்ளை. (W.) 4. Short striped border ofa cloth. See சிட்டை¹. Nāñ. 5. Tuft of hair;மயிர்முடி. (அக. நி ) 6. A plate of gold worn onthe forehead, as a mark of distinction; நெற்றிப்பட்டம் (அக. நி )
