பஞ்சாங்கம்

pañcāṅkam   n. pañcāṅga.1. Almanac, as comprising five parts, viz., titi,vāram, naṭcattiram, yōkam, karaṇam; திதி,வாரம், நட்சத்திரம், யோகம், கரணம் என்ற ஐந்துறுப்புக்களுடைய காலக்குறிப்புநூல். (பிங்.) 2.Horoscope; சாதகம் Loc. 3. Inam or grant ofland held on favourable terms by the villagepriest for his service; புரோகிதத்துக்கு விடப்படும்மானியம். (C. G.) 4. Office of the ceremonialpriest of certain Non-Brahmin castes; புரோகிதத்தொழில். 5. Horse; குதிரை (யாழ். அக.) 6.Tortoise; ஆமை (யாழ். அக.)

பஞ்சாங்கம்வாசி-த்தல் pañcāṅkam-vāci-, v. intr. பஞ்சாங்கம் +. To read inpublic the forecasts of the almanac for thenew year; புதுவருஷப்பஞ்சாங்கத்தின் பலாபலன்படித்தல்.
