பத்திரம்

s. Letter, epistle, note, tract, commonly, any written document, bond, deed, order, &c., சீட்டு. 2. Leaf, இலை. (c.) 3. Leaf of a book, புத்தகத்தினேடு. 4. Petal of a flower பூவிதழ். 5. பத்திரக்கடன்காரன், s. A bond-creditor.

பத்திரஞ்சாத்த, inf. To put leaves about an idol.

பத்திரப்படுத்த--பத்திரம்பண்ண, inf. To take care. 2. To keep in safe or close custody. 3. To make firm or safe; to secure.

பத்திரமெடுக்க, inf. To pluck leaves or flowers for daily worship.

பத்திரயௌவனம், s. Tender foliage, shootings of leaves, &c., இளந்தளிர்.

பத்திராசனம்-பத்திராதனம், s. A throne, சிங்காசனம். (சது.) 2. One of the postures of the silent devotee when he is seated erect with bent legs crossed under him and turned so as to bring the ankles in contract with the perineum, while the soles of the feet are held by the hands close to the sides, யோகாசனம். பத்திராசனர், s. One of the classes of angels, or heavenly inhabitants, வானோர் கணத்தோர்வகையார். 2. Enthroned angels.
